Interesting History - TCEM
We’ve had an interesting history, starting out in video production and moving forward with computers. We started in 1990 with creating computer presentations and printing to video. This was before digital video, power point and notebook computers. The advantage at the time was being able make non-linear updates and changes without starting over from the beginning. Our clients liked what we had to offer – the marriage of computers and video – and we went from there.
Some of our best projects were . . .
Then we moved forward with interactive kiosks and CD-Roms. By this time laptop computers advanced to the point that you could present your CD-Rom using a laptop computer and projector. This was where the true meaning of interactive took off. You no longer had to show a presentation from point A to point Z, you could instead use and interactive menu to move through the presentation in a more natural way – based on the direction that the audience wanted to take it. Kiosks were also an excellent interactive tool. They allowed the public to interact with a touch-screen, to access information when and how they wanted it.
Some of our most exciting projects were . . .
Then came the web, the world-wide-web, and we continued to grow and move with the new technology. Now not only were our presentations truly interactive, they were available all over the world. Our clients were excited about this new medium and we worked to show them how to use it to their advantage and to teach them what this new kind of communication meant. We combined this technology with our client’s database software, so not only could they share information they could collect data and information as well.
Our web based projects included information sites as well as the best in on-line training . . .
Then there came a time that the new technology came of age and we were not the only new kids on the block. There were new multimedia companies around every corner. Everyone was creating websites and notebook computers were common place.
We continued to grow and change with the needs of our clients; they needed help beyond e-media communications. They now needed help with the reality of how to manage all this new technology. Not only did they need us to create but they needed us to advise, manage and fix problems they were having navigating all the technology that was available to them.
So the next logical step was IT consulting, managed support and computer/network repair. We are so much more than managed support or a website developer; we are a turn-key solution to any and all computer needs that a small to midsized company might have. Today, we continue to grow and build on our skill set, providing the best in e-media business solutions that are available. We can’t wait to see what new technology adventures lay around the corner, and we will be there with our clients helping them to navigate every step of the way.
